Hands on practical skills
We are very pleased to offer our intensive full immersion permaculture design certificate course here on our own site. Our site now represents one of the worlds leading design sites, it has been extensively developed and improved since 2004 and is now well evolved with just one year of development left to see the final design realised. During the course we will all spend the full two weeks living, working and learning the permaculture way as a community with all that entails.
This course is ideal for anyone who wants to really understand and make a positive impact on our planet for the future, and meet and get involved with like-minded people. Our Camp-site is exclusively available to participants. Please see camping link for details.
The cost includes tuition, practical sessions, materials, food and camp pitch. There are extra cost for private rooms or cabins
Participants completing a design presentation on completion of the course receive a Certificate in Permaculture Design, recognized internationally.
Our site and our skills offers us a living and an exceptional quality of life, we use the funds from the courses we offer to improve our systems and the facilities our site can offer us and students who come here. So your financial contribution is an investment in the future of Permaculture Eden and what it offers you and future students and visitors, for this reason we do not offer concessions of any kind, everyone is asked to contribute equally and fairly.
Family & Friends
We welcome families but there must be a responsible adult with children at all times, responsibility for the children’s safety and security is theirs and theirs alone. Additional adults and children over 12 pay 250€ towards their food and children under 12 pay 140€ for the two weeks. One of our cabins sleeps four.
we provide 3 simple seasonal nutritious meals a day & Garden teas, no black tea, coffee, fruit juice, soda or alcohol provided. The middle Sunday (Day off) is self catering, only breakfast is provided there are local restaurants or you can use the kitchen on site to organise a communal meal with your own produce ( Fiona & I get a day off too). Where possible food is from our own site or wild from the surrounding area, our site offers grass fed meat and dairy produce including milk, cream, butter, yogurt, hard and soft cheese, seasonal soft fruit, hard fruit vegetables and salad. Our new 1000 square meter aquaculture pond will be in full production in 2018 adding fish produced on site to our menu making us 95% self sufficient in food production. Grains are purchased from a neighbour producing organic grain.
We now have several accommodation options here on site. A double room in our house with en-suit shower and flushing toilet. Two single rooms in the barn, Two double bed cabins made from natural materials (Cord-wood and Cob) camping in your own tent, with access to compost heated showers and dry toilets.
